Sooo only 10 more sleeps until christmas now!!! and its so so cold outside. lets hope it snows for christmas day!

We had a band photoshoot on Sunday 13th with photographers Mark Lloyd and Damian Green. We ventured out into the cold countryside and posed for some pictures.....

....They came out great and we will be updating our whole myspace soon.

EXCITING NEWS

Hey peeps


So we entered Nightlight into a competition recently for unsigned bands to have the chance to be the support act to Spike Edneys sas band this christmas.

There were over 100 entries from Guildford and Woking and other surrounding areas, and Nightlight got picked with 5 other bands to perform at one of the Christmas gigs this month!

So Rich and Sofie will be traveling down to Southampton on Wednesday 16th to perform a set acoustically before the SAS band goes on to perform, which includes Paul Young and Kiki Dee!! :)

Old times

Was just looking through old pics of the band and came across this one. This was our very first gig together as a whole band, playing on a lorry to the Surrey Police!!

It rained that day and just as we were about to play our last song the power cut out.... so it turned out to be a very memorable first gig! :)

Gig in Jack Wills store in Guildford !!!

On the 23rd November we performed in the Jack wills store in Guildford. This was a bit different but we really enjoyed it and cant wait to play there again on the 5th December ! It was super busy and we gave out some free cd's.

First ever Post

hey peeps

NEW Blog page, First EVER post.....
HI
To those who do not already know us, we are an indie pop band from Guildford in Surrey.
We formed towards the end of 2008, when guitarist Richard Hawkins met Singer Sofie Hewson at College, and they began writing together for a a few months before the others... Ben Arthey on bass, Robert Austin on drums and Ollie Collins on Guitar Joined in early 2009 creating Nightlight!... . and Just recently joined to sing Backing Vocals is Lindsay Martin.

So Rich and Sofi have spent a lot of their time this year writing a lot of new songs with 2 very new ones on the E.P 'You came along' and 'move on'... We have also been busy, practicing, playing gigs in Guildford and London and also studying for our Degrees.

We recorded a demo back in march,.. but just recently we saved up to record with producer Jake Gosling at His studios... Literally last week! We finished Our first E.P of 4 songs on friday... which are up on the myspace!!!

anyaway...

So We are on Myspace and Twitter and now this!

its quite late now so g'night
